Move over Indiana Jones, because Olivia Oyster is about to take on The Devil’s Throat in Jujuy, Argentina.
Okay so maybe that’s going a bit overboard, but hiking La Garganta del Diablo (The Devil’s Throat) does sound kind of sexy, right?!
We drove up to the top of the mountain and hiked downwards (and no one is happier than me not having to walk all the way up!).
It’s a fun walk – not too long with a few tricky places where you have to cross creeks and climb up rocks along the way.
But nothing too difficult – if I can do it, I’d say anyone with two functional legs can do it too.
Of course, the hike wasn’t challenging enough for Danny and his friends – who are all mountain folk from The Dolomites.
They decided to climb up the cliff walls, just for fun.
Whereas city folk like me were struggling to keep my two feet on the ground.
Is it obvious that I’m struggling?!
Whilst climbing mountains is not my best strength, I’m pretty good at singing along to The Beatles.
But I can only do it ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’ 😉
Finally, we reached The Devil’s Throat – a waterfall at the end of the hike.
The chicas and I enjoyed a little break to enjoy the view.
But the boys insisted that we keep going to see more of the mountains.
And this was what was waiting on the other side of the route.
Not a bad view at all.
Now, the only thing that could make this day better is seeing some cute donkeys.
Yep, today was a good day
