After Saturday’s Sikh wedding ceremony, we continued the celebration of Adelia and Jai’s wedding on Sunday in McLaren Vale – one of Adelaide’s famous wine regions.
I do love outdoor wedding ceremonies, and the vineyard of S.C. Pannell was an absolutely stunning background for one. Just look at those lush green vines! I could spend all day skipping between the rows and picking grapes along the way (because that’s how making wine works right?!).
But then, we were dressed way too nicely for any frolicking activity. So the girls and I caught up on each other’s news before taking our seats for the ceremony.
Dah dum da dum! Dah dum da dummm!
As usual, we all got a bit teary in the ceremony. (Yes, I admit it … even me!)
But of course, they were tears of happiness. Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs!
Then it was time for the party! We had drinks and canapés on a deck overlooking the vineyard, then we moved on to the reception area.
Mae, Megan and I got interrogated by the bride’s parents about why we weren’t married yet. Honestly, parents are all the same!!
Funny thing is, the three of us are more interested in food than getting engaged at this point in time!
Mae and I ready for our meals (which we got to individually order – a nice change from the alternate drop).
Adelia’s dress 2 of 3. Hey, a girl can wear as many dresses as she wants – you only get married once!
(Look at me, probably daydreaming about dresses!)
It was a happy day spent with lovely friends that I hadn’t seen in years. And to finish on a high note, we danced late into the night with epic Bollywood dancing moves led by Jai’s side of the family. Rest assured, I busted out my ‘Jai Ho’ moves on the d-floor too!
