Meet two of the most endearing people in Paris I know: Frank (@CakeBoyParis) and Yasmin (@SundaysInParis). One Sunday afternoon in July, we gathered for afternoon tea chez Frank in Paris’ 3rd arrondissement.
Today’s special occasion was to celebrate the launch of the Sundays in Paris city guide. A little while ago, I photographed a few Parisian cafes and restaurants for the city guide. It was my debut as a proper photographer and I am proud to say that you’ll find my photos on three pages in the new book!
UPDATE (1 February 2017): The Sundays in Paris city guide will now be officially published by Hardie Grant. Keep an eye out for future blog posts about the published edition due for release in April 2018.
Frank was certainly the host with the most. In his beautifully decorated apartment in the Marais, we sipped our tea from gold trimmed cups and chatted over scrumptious cupcakes and sablés. I felt so lucky to be here among good company and talented creatives. It also reminded me how much I miss photography and blogging. I haven’t had time for creative endeavours while being at INSEAD, so the city guide was a well-timed opportunity to push me artistically. Besides, there is something special about Paris that sparks a little creativity in all of us.
Photos and memories from July 2016.
