I am often being asked questions from friends or readers about my blogging, so here are a few frequently asked questions that you might be interested in.

+ How do I follow your blog and read new posts?

You can subscribe here to receive a monthly email newsletter of new posts or you can add the blog to your RSS feed.  If you like to read lots of blogs, then I recommend using a feed reader like Bloglovin or Feedly.

+ What camera do you use?

I recently upgraded to an Olympus E-M5 Mark II and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s a mirrorless micro four-thirds camera that takes great quality photos without the bulkiness of a big DSLR. It’s also weather proof making it great for travel (and clumsy hands). I mainly shoot with a Panasonic 20mm lens F1.7 or an Olympus 45mm F1.8.

Pre October 2015, I was shooting with a Panasonic Lumix GF-5.

+ Who takes all of your photos?

Mostly me! I’m that annoying friend who won’t let you start eating until I’ve taken a photo of the food first (camera eats first!).  I usually ask a friend, boyfriend or stranger with a big camera to take a few snaps of me too.  If that fails, then my trusty Sirui Carbon Fiber Tripod helps out.

+ I love your blog layout.  What website theme do you use / who designed your site?

I’m so glad you like it :) The web design for Olivia Oyster is based on a free WordPress theme with some custom changes for things like the font, side bar and grid search.  My talented ex-boyfriend Danny helped me edit the site so you need to know a little bit of CSS/coding to do it yourself.  We would have loved to make it into a theme for others to buy, but unfortunately there is a lot more work involved to get to that stage.

+ Who do you use for travel insurance?

I swear by SureSave travel insurance and would definitely recommend them to any Australian travellers.  I usually buy out the excess for $15 as I’ve had to claim dental surgeries, missing luggage, smashed iPhones … the list of my bad luck goes on!  These guys are so helpful when I’ve been overseas and they always process my claims within days.

+ How can I get in contact with you?

You can fill in the contact form below or leave a comment on a blog post or on my Instagram. (I used to give out my email address here, but the junk mail was overwhelming! If you’d like me to reply via email, just make sure to include your email address in the comment.) I always love hearing from other bloggers and readers so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or comments.
